Sage Roofing have embraced the rapidly emerging microgeneration technology and its potential on larger roof areas. In partnership with Sika single-ply membranes and Renewable Resourses Ltd we provide a complete design and installation service.

In most circumstances the large areas of roof required for manufacturing, warehousing, retail, education, health and sports related buildings can be designed or adapted to accommodate Solar Photovoltaic installations capable of generating sufficient electricity to satisfy the energy needs of the building and provide income and saleable surplus through the Feed in Tariff.

The Feed-in Tariff (FiT) is a Government guaranteed scheme offering RPI index linked payments for every unit of electricity you produce for 25 years. Thanks to new Government legislation, solar PV panels have become an attractive alternative investment with up to 10% typical net return, annual tax-free income and built-in protection from inflation.

Potentially this can fund the installation of a new roof with optimum insulation and airsealing along with the most efficient surface for the photovoltaic arrays giving a 'green' building with a high BREEAM rating and improving the equity or rental value.

Sage Roofing are able to provide you with installation costs and income forecast specifically to your requirements.

In many cases we can also arrange investment funding for the project – you could get it all for nothing if you are prepared rent out your roof.
