Reef and Charity Work at Sage Roofing

Sage Roofing is proud to announce Diglis Water has won second place in the NHBC Supreme Awards 2014! “Only second I hear you say?” well the reason we are so proud is the building that won the award was No 1 Tower Bridge London, a project with immense importance and stature we are honoured to be in the same league as projects such as that. We have done for Diglis Water: the roofing works, membrane details, PPC soffit and balcony fascias. We think that this proves what a high standard our company holds itself to, and we are delighted that our hard work has paid off in such a way.

Next on the agenda is our reef. If you are new to this blog, Sage have invested in a coral reef in the Maldives, this is a wonderful way for us to help the environment as one day this reef will become self sustaining. domain name info Coral reefs are hugely important as though they only take up 0.1% of the ocean floor, they are home to 25% of all marine species and considering how vast, diverse and enigmatic the ocean and its inhabitants are it is a top priority to maintain and help this crucial ecosystem.  If you would like to read our previous blogs on the reef click here. We will also keep you updated with any updates we have on our reef.

Finally I will mention some of our charity work we as a company will be doing. To kick things off I will be running the Coventry Half Marathon for the Alzheimer’s Society on the 1st of March, this is important to me as people very close to me have received help from this charity and they do very important work against this terrible decease .

After that John will be tackling the Manchester Marathon on the 19th of April in aid of the Christie Charity which is the biggest hospital charity in Manchester that helps patients win their battle with cancer.

On the 31st of May Myself and Rebecca will be traversing the Tough Mudder obstacle course, it will be my second Tough Mudder, and Rebecca’s first! If you haven’t heard of Tough Mudder it is a 10-12 mile military style obstacle course, involving fire, electricity, Ice, Mud and this year for the first time, Tear Gas! We will be running this for Help the Heroes.
