Here at Sage Roofing it is our belief that Health and Safety is taken very seriously, especially when we are working at height (which as a roofing company happens quite a lot!). This means that anyone who we employ (if they haven’t already) needs to undergo several training courses to ensure that they are taking all of the necessary precautions whilst carrying out work for us. All of our subcontractors hold the required health and safety certificates such as: SSSTS, SMSTS, CSCS, IPAF and PASMA.
We also deal with roof refurbishment projects and some may contain non-licensed cement bonded asbestos, all staff and sub-contractors are highly trained when working with this material and are kept up to date in asbestos awareness as it is most important that we know how to deal with it in any circumstance, from sending samples to be tested, to replacing an entire non-licensed cement bonded asbestos roof. We have also implemented a new health and safety manual called “Company Policy and Procedures When Working on Site with Asbestos Containing Materials (ACM)”; it contains all of the relevant documentation from HSE and our procedures which are in place.
It being the Christmas season we will be celebrating appropriately at the start of our office shut down period which is the 19th of December with a meal at Harringtons on the hill in Kenilworth and I’m sure we will indulge in a few well deserved pints through our hard efforts throughout the year! So from everyone here at Sage we all hope you have a very Merry Christmas and a happy and prosperous 2015.
Our office shut down period is 19th December 2014 till 5th January 2015.
